A:  In practice, no any printer can use different type ink as well, for example solvent ink, pigment ink and dye ink even though it is possible in theory, because at present all kinds of t-shirt printers over world are based on Thermal bubble printers or  Piezo electric printers,  in theory, Piezo electric printers, can use solvent ink, pigment ink or dye ink separately, but it needs more than one day to completely clear the ink pipe, and the mix-Inks-using is quite easily damage the printing head, which cost more than 600USD! The Thermal bubble printers can use pigment ink and dye ink, Because their cartridges is separate from printing head, and the printing head cost is only 25USD, so it’s easy to change the ink between the pigment and dye inks, but not for solvent ink ! Actually the solvent ink had been prohibited as it is harmful to human body and environment.
